Parish Identity & Patron
St. Jude Parish takes its name from St. Jude Thaddaeus, the apostle venerated throughout the Catholic world as the patron of lost and desperate causes. His feast day is celebrated on October 28 each year. The parish's stated mission is to be a Catholic community bound together by baptism and faith in Jesus Christ, gathered to worship God and to be a sign of God's love, justice, peace, unity, and reconciliation in the world.

History
Bishop Stanislaus V. Bona formally established St. Jude Parish on June 17, 1957, appointing Father Anthony Baier as the founding pastor. Before the church building existed, Sunday Masses were celebrated at nearby Annunciation Church, and weekday Masses and parish meetings were held in a newly built rectory at 503 N. Platten Street. Contracts for a combined church–school–convent complex were let on March 11, 1958; groundbreaking took place March 30, 1958; and the church was completed and first used on December 14, 1958. Today St. Jude is one of four parishes sharing ministry in the Quad Parishes of Green Bay.

Pastoral Team & Staff
The parish is administered by Conventual Franciscan friars and shares its staff across the four Quad Parishes. The current Administrator is Rev. Erick Ondieki, OFM Conv., with Rev. Dominic Wambui, OFM Conv., serving as Parochial Vicar. Deacon Dan Wagnitz was ordained in 2009 and grew up attending St. Jude. The pastoral team includes a pastoral associate, a pastoral minister (Sr. Jan Villemure, OSF), a religious education coordinator, a liturgical coordinator, a music coordinator, a Hispanic ministry coordinator, a business administrator (Deacon Bill Gerl), and support staff.

Faith Formation & Religious Education
Quad-Parish Faith Formation serves the Catholic communities of Annunciation, St. Joseph, St. Jude, and St. Patrick, with the Rel Ed office at 936 9th Street, Green Bay (920-497-7042). Patti Phillips coordinates Religious Education across the parishes. The program offers catechesis for children and youth preparing for First Communion and Confirmation, plus an Alpha course for adults exploring the Christian faith, English classes, 'Faith Formation Adult Style' evenings, and 'Gospel Time' — a children's program held during Sunday Mass for ages 4 and up.

Hmong Catholic Community
St. Jude is home to a vibrant Hmong Catholic community on Green Bay's west side. A Hmong-language Mass is celebrated at 12:00 pm on the 1st and 2nd Sundays of each month at St. Jude, and a Hmong-community Stations of the Cross is offered on Fridays during Lent. This makes St. Jude one of the principal worship sites for Hmong Catholics in the Green Bay area.

Hispanic Ministry
The Quad Parishes maintain an active Hispanic Ministry coordinated by Lorena Gomez, with office hours Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm (extension 142, [email protected]). The ministry supports Spanish-speaking parishioners across Annunciation, St. Joseph, St. Jude, and St. Patrick parishes.

Outreach & Social Justice
St. Jude parishioners are deeply engaged in outreach across Green Bay's west side. The Hope Center at 505 Clinton Street is a collaboration of seven west-side Catholic parishes — Annunciation, St. Agnes, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, St. Joseph, St. Jude, Nativity, and St. Patrick — bringing together the Hope Center Pantry (Mon–Thu 1–3 pm) and Love Life Ministries (Thu 1–4 pm, except 5th Thursday) to break the cycle of poverty. The Quad-Parishes also prepare and serve a meal at the NEW Community Shelter on the 4th Monday of each month.

Parish Community Life
Beyond liturgy and outreach, St. Jude sustains a strong fellowship life through parish organizations and seasonal traditions. The St. Jude Women's Club meets monthly, the St. Jude Boster Club hosts a beloved all-you-can-eat Lenten Fish Bake on Fridays during Lent in the parish hall, and the Knights of Columbus lead devotions such as the Silver Rose Prayer Service. A monthly Mother–Child brunch brings families together, and annual events include an antique appraisal and parish picnic.
