History of St. Joseph

St. Joseph Parish in Rushford was historically affiliated with St. Joseph’s in Winona. It later became part of a tri-parish cluster with St. Rose of Lima and Holy Trinity due to priest shortages. The current church building was erected in 1968 to replace an inadequate structure, and it has undergone minor adjustments over the decades to meet the needs of the faithful. The parish has 206 households and seats 400 people. The parish’s history reflects a commitment to faith, community, and adaptation to changing needs.
