History
St. Joseph originated in 1963 as a mission of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, established to serve the growing Catholic population on the northeast side of Kingsville. Originally known as St. Joseph the Worker, the mission was elevated to a full parish in 1973, taking its current name and location on Brookshire Drive. It has served Kingsville Catholics continuously since then as part of the Diocese of Corpus Christi.
