About Us

St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, along with its missions, is committed to following Jesus’ call to make disciples of all nations. Our Roman Catholic identity connects us to the larger Church.

History

Priests began serving Wheatland County around 1910, holding Masses at ranches before a church was built. Bishop Carroll requested a church in Harlowton, which was constructed in 1917. The parish also established two missions — Immaculate Conception in Judith Gap and Blessed Sacrament in Shawmut — and a third mission in Hedgesville, which closed in 1958.

Staff

Fr. Cody Williams is the current pastor. Claire Miller serves as bookkeeper.
