St. Joseph Parish has served Catholic families in Dodgeville and Iowa County for generations and is closely bound to St. Joseph School as the heart of Catholic education in the community. As part of the 2025 diocesan restructuring in the Diocese of Madison, St. Joseph entered the new St. Pius of Pietrelcina Pastorate alongside three neighboring parishes. Bishop Hying presided at the installation of Fr. Tafadzwa Kushamba as the merged parish's first pastor at St. Joseph Church on November 2, 2025, concelebrating with Fr. Alex Carmel and members of the fourth-degree Knights of Columbus.
