Founded in the early 1900s, it began as a visiting mission with Masses offered twice monthly by Father Paul Mosler in 1910. The parish grew slowly, purchasing its first church building in 1915 and later a new church in 1943, blessed by Bishop Augustine Danglemayer. Despite economic hardship and declining population, the parish remains open thanks to support from the Fort Worth Diocese and dedicated clergy. It is currently served by the pastor of Holy Family Church in Vernon.
