Meet Our Pastor — Father Den Irwin
Father Den Irwin is the current pastor. He grew up in Montgomery, Alabama, the son of Mike and Lynne Irwin, with one sister (Allison) in Birmingham. A graduate of Montgomery Catholic High School (1988) and Auburn University (B.S. Civil Engineering, 1993), he served a year with NET Ministries, studied theology and philosophy at Franciscan University of Steubenville, completed formation at St. Joseph Seminary College in Covington, LA, and spent five years of major seminary in Rome before being ordained in June 2001. Father Irwin's assignments have included parochial vicar at St. Pius X in Mobile (2002–2004) and St. Columba in Dothan (2004–2008); Parochial Administrator of Christ the King in Andalusia (2007–2008); pastor of St. Vincent de Paul in Mobile (2008–2010); pastor of St. Martin of Tours in Troy and campus minister for Troy University (2010–2019); pastor of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Wetumpka (2019–2022); and currently pastor of St. Joseph in Prattville (2022–present). His hobbies include hiking, rafting, and camping; he is a retired water-skier.

Religious Education
The Religious Education program forms children of the parish in the Catholic faith. Youth Group (Grades 6–12)
St. Joseph's youth ministry exists to 'empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ' and to draw them into responsible participation in the Catholic community. Teens gather on Wednesday evenings during the school year, attending the 6 PM Mass first and then moving to the Family Life Center for dinner at 7 PM, followed by faith-building games, peer-led discussions, and small-group time. Worship elements include Mass, monthly Adoration, and Confession. Service opportunities include altar serving, lectoring, helping at Mary's Haven, the Humane Society of Autauga County, the Gillespie Center Meals Program, Marbury nuns' service projects, seminarian service projects, mission trips, Vacation Bible School, and Living Stations of the Cross. Special events include the Archdiocese Search Retreat, the ACYC (Archdiocese Youth Conference), and the March for Life in Washington, D.C.

Padre Pio Ministry — Outreach to the Needy
The Padre Pio Ministry is St. Joseph's community outreach arm, dedicated to helping the needy in the Autauga County area. The ministry quotes Padre Pio: 'That is the goal of the Work: To care for the bodies — to arrive at the souls… Giving the benefit of your charity to all without distinction.' Its purpose is to bridge the gap between the church and the Prattville community by ministering to those in need outside the parish walls.
