About Our Parish
St. John the Evangelist Parish serves Catholics and their neighbors in the town of Northfield as well as the surrounding communities. All are welcome to participate in our Masses, Faith Formation programs, and many parish and community events. Father Scott Gratton, Pastor, opens wide the doors of our church inviting everyone to experience the warmth of our faith and parish community.
History
St. John the Evangelist has served the faithful of Northfield, Vermont, for over 160 years. The parish community supports each other through daily Mass, a prayer line, and a vibrant faith formation program for all ages. The parish has been a proud participant in the annual Northfield Crop Walk for more than 5 years providing support for all those in need of food, water and education around the world. The parish supports the local food shelves and offers assistance to all those in need in our community through prayer and generosity.
