History
Originally part of a larger parish consolidation effort, St. John the Baptist Parish merged with St. Peter & Paul’s in Hamburg, effective October 2022. The parish is now part of 'Family 28' under the Diocese of Buffalo’s 'Road to Renewal' initiative, which aims to optimize resources and address a projected priest shortage by 2030. The parish has a long-standing tradition of community service, including food pantries, charitable collections, and youth programs like VBS.
