St. John Neumann is a Catholic mission church located at 620 Bestgate Road in Annapolis, Maryland, serving as a secondary house of worship for St. Mary's Parish in the historic downtown. St. John Neumann Mission Church is a Redemptorist-staffed Catholic mission located at 620 Bestgate Road in Annapolis, Maryland. It is not an independent parish but shares one pastorate with historic St. Mary's Church in downtown Annapolis, together serving more than 5,000 families across the Annapolis area. The mission was dedicated in 2000 and bears the name of St. John Neumann, C.Ss.R., the missionary Redemptorist who became Bishop of Philadelphia and who had deep personal ties to Annapolis — he blessed the cornerstone and bell of the original St. Mary's Church in 1858.

History & 25th Anniversary
For much of the 20th century, the Annapolis area's growing Catholic population had outgrown the historic St. Mary's Church downtown. The Redemptorists who staff St. Mary's — Fr. John Murray, the late Fr. Thomas Si-conol-fi, and Fr. Denis Sweeney — led the effort to purchase the Bestgate Road property and build a second worship site, which was dedicated in 2000. The mission was named after the saintly Redemptorist John Neumann, an explicit link to the congregation's 1850s roots in Annapolis.

Hispanic / Spanish-Language Ministry
As a 'missionary church' that 'has reached out in welcome to everyone seeking a spiritual home, and in a special way, to those who have recently come to the United States' (Archbishop Lori, 25th-anniversary homily), the mission is a spiritual hub for Spanish-speaking Catholics in the Annapolis area. Three Masses a week are celebrated in Spanish.

St. John Neumann shares one pastorate with historic St. Mary's Church at 109 Duke of Gloucester Street in downtown Annapolis. The combined parish — founded by the Redemptorists in 1853 on property donated by Charles Carroll of Carrollton's granddaughters — also runs St. Mary's Elementary School (grades Pre-K–8) and St. Mary's High School, and serves more than 5,000 families across the Annapolis region.
