Parish History & Patron
Founded in 1952, St. John Fisher Catholic Church has served Richmond and the surrounding Fort Bend County community for more than seven decades. The parish is named for St. John Fisher (1469–1535), the English bishop of Rochester, Cambridge chancellor, theologian, and martyr who was executed under Henry VIII for refusing to accept the king's claim as Supreme Head of the Church. He is honored jointly with St. Thomas More on June 22.

Faith Formation & Religious Education
The parish runs a comprehensive catechetical program through its CCE (Continuing Catholic Education) tracks for children and teens, a young children's program, and adult formation offerings.
Elementary CCE (Grades K–5)
Elementary CCE classes meet Tuesday nights from 6:00 PM to 7:15 PM in the parish hall. First Communion preparation is integrated into the CCE program on alternating weeks in lieu of the regular curriculum; parents are required to attend a predetermined number of sessions with their children. Junior High & High School CCE (Grades 6–12)
Junior High and High School CCE meets Wednesday nights from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM in the parish hall for weekly youth groups. The curriculum aims to inspire teens to know, love, and serve God through prayer, Adoration, small-group fellowship, and service opportunities. A separate teen Bible study is offered Mondays 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM in the youth room.
