St. Isidore Church is a Roman Catholic parish in Macomb Township, Michigan, part of the Archdiocese of Detroit's Northeast North Macomb 2 Family of Parishes within the North Macomb Vicariate. Founded on June 18, 1957, the parish is named for St. Isidore the Farmer (feast day May 15), the patron saint of farmers and rural communities — a fitting patron for the once-rural Macomb area. From its modest beginnings with a single pastor and an elementary school staffed by the Adrian Dominican Sisters, St. Isidore has grown into a vibrant community that has, over the decades, given rise to several new parishes in the area. Today the parish welcomes parishioners at five weekend Masses, runs a robust Discipleship Formation program, maintains an active St. Vincent de Paul conference, and serves through dozens of ministries and small groups, embodying its mission: 'Connect with God. Parish History & Heritage
Founded June 18, 1957, with Fr. Walter Schweihofer as its first pastor, St. Isidore grew rapidly in the post-war boom of Macomb Township. Within two years it had opened an elementary school staffed by the Adrian Dominican Sisters, and by 1967 the first church building was dedicated. Through the decades the parish has been a seedbed of new Catholic communities — giving rise to SS. John & Paul, St. John Vianney (1979), St. Therese of Lisieux (1992), and St. Maximilian Kolbe (1996). A larger church was built and dedicated in 1988 under Fr. Charles Zeeb, and a major 'Building for the Future' renovation was blessed by Bishop Earl Boyea on June 25, 2005. Since 2012, Fr. Ronald Victor has served as the eighth pastor.

Discipleship Formation (Religious Education)
Discipleship Formation at St. Isidore is built on the words 'Faith and Community.' Two tracks serve different age groups: 'Discover' for students in Grades 1–5 and 'Connect' for Grades 6–9. The program is Bible-centered — every student has their own Bible and uses it as the primary textbook — and blends interactive classroom learning with family events and hands-on activities. The program runs September through April, with grade-specific Family Nights requiring at least one parent to attend.

Sacrament Preparation
Children preparing for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist participate in required parent workshops during the formation year, then celebrate the sacraments at designated parish Masses. Confirmation is a two-year preparation program completed in Grades 7–8, including Year 1 and Year 2 retreats. The parish publishes an annual Sacraments Calendar with all required dates and signup links for families.

Children's Liturgy & Music
Children's Liturgy of the Word offers age-appropriate proclamation of the Scriptures during Mass, coordinated by Katie Wynn. The parish also maintains a Children's Choir under the direction of Claire Spisak, and adult music & liturgy is led by Amy Righi (Music + Liturgy Director) and Matt Kush (Music + Creative Director).

Outreach & Charity
St. Isidore is served by an active St. Vincent de Paul Conference that helps families in the parish boundaries who are going through crisis — assisting with rent, utilities, food, and holiday meals. The conference meets bi-monthly at the church and runs a food pantry restocked with help from parishioners. The parish also partners with the Meijer Simply Give campaign and accepts cash donations in the blue envelopes at each church entrance. Direct outreach to the poor and needy is coordinated through the parish's Evangelical Charity ministry under Mike Aprile.
