St. Hubert is a small Roman Catholic church in Garyville, Louisiana, in St. John the Baptist Parish on the River Road north of New Orleans. The parish was established in 1907 by Archbishop Blenk of New Orleans and has served the unincorporated Garyville community for more than a century. As of July 1, 2024, the Archdiocese of New Orleans merged St. Hubert's territory into neighboring St. Peter Parish in Reserve; the church building itself remains open as a non-parochial church with one weekend Mass, sustained by parishioners who wished to keep a Catholic presence in Garyville. Today the church is served by Rev. Ray Hymel, pastor of the merged St. Hubert–St. Peter parish, and continues to host faith formation, devotions, and the historic annual parish fair.

History of St. Hubert Parish
St. Hubert was established in 1907 by Archbishop Blenk of New Orleans, with Fr. Tessier as first pastor. The original church stood until 1965, when Hurricane Betsy destroyed it along with most of its contents. A new church was built in 1967 under Fr. Arjonilla, with the parish hall added in 1976 and the rectory in 1980 under Fr. Caluda. The 1907 rectory — the only structure to survive Betsy — was restored in the mid-2000s and unveiled at the 2007 centennial celebration.

Faith Formation & Religious Education
St. Hubert offers religious education for older children and supports parishioners who want to deepen their Catholic faith through adult formation, RCIA, and home study. The parish points learners to the Archdiocesan Office of Religious Education for ongoing faith formation and certification, and to Notre Dame Seminary's Institute for Lay Ecclesial Ministry for those pursuing lay ministry training.

Ministry to Separated & Divorced Catholics
Through the Family Life Apostolate of the Archdiocese of New Orleans, the parish connects individuals grieving the loss of a spouse (through death or separation) with a confidential weekend retreat. The retreat helps participants work through stages of grief, bring closure to the past, and begin anew — generally most helpful after the initial emotional trauma has passed (around six months).

2024 Merger with St. Peter Parish
On November 1, 2023, Archbishop Gregory Aymond announced a major restructuring of the Archdiocese of New Orleans. St. Hubert's territory was merged into St. Peter Parish in Reserve effective July 1, 2024, with Rev. Ray Hymel named pastor of the merged parishes. Because parishioners were committed to keeping a Catholic presence in Garyville and sustaining the church building, St. Hubert remains open as a non-parochial church with one weekend Mass.
