St. Gregory the Great is a Traditional Latin Mass parish in Lansing, Michigan, founded by Bishop Earl Boyea of the Diocese of Lansing in September 2010. Originally established as the St. John XXIII Community and housed in the crypt of St. Mary Cathedral, the parish grew to about 75 families, then purchased its own church at 3020 S. Washington Ave., holding its inaugural Mass on the feast of St. Gregory the Great, March 12, 2020. The community is explicitly dedicated to the rites, sacraments, culture, and traditions of the Latin Roman Catholic Church as they were before 1962, and is fully approved by the Bishop of Lansing.

Devotions & Parish Life
The parish maintains a traditional devotional calendar around the Mass, including a weekly Parish Rosary on Wednesdays at 6:00 pm (with an additional rosary on the 4th Thursday at 6:30 pm), a monthly Parish Social Hour after both Sunday Masses on the first Sunday of the month, and First Saturday devotions immediately following the 9:00 am Mass. The schedule page also lists traditional blessing days — the Blessing of Throats on the Sunday before February 3 (St. Blaise's feast) and May Crowning on the 1st Sunday of May — as well as a Candlemas Mass and a Thanksgiving Mass.
