Parish Identity, Vision & Mission

St. George Catholic Church articulates a two-part vision and mission on its website. Its vision is to welcome all, build connections to Christ and one another, and live as true disciples of Jesus. Its mission states: 'We, the parish community of St George, celebrate the welcoming presence of Christ in our lives. Together with the universal Church, we are nourished and sustained through the Mystery of the Holy Eucharist, and we are inspired by the proclamation of the Word, guided by the Holy Spirit.' The parish pairs this identity with a warm welcome statement declaring that visitors, struggling members, interfaith families, and the long-absent alike 'belong here.'

  • Vision: welcome all, build connections to Christ and one another, live as true disciples of Jesus
  • Mission: Eucharist-centered, Word-inspired, Spirit-guided; respect sanctity of life; share gifts through parish activities and outreach
