St. George Parish is a Roman Catholic parish in the South Seattle neighborhood of Georgetown/Beacon Hill, belonging to the Archdiocese of Seattle. Founded in 1903 and first served by its own church in 1904, the parish has grown through more than a century of ministry into a culturally diverse, multilingual community whose life is shaped by its Vietnamese, English-speaking, and historically Korean and European-heritage members. Today it operates within Parish Family 22 of the Archdiocese's Partners in the Gospel reorganization, sharing pastoral leadership with neighboring parishes, and is home to St. George Parish School (Pre-K through 8th) and the St. Paul Early Learning Center. The current parish church, built in 1952–1954 in the Eclectic Spanish Revival style, overlooks the Duwamish River Valley and continues to serve as a center of worship, faith formation, and community outreach in South Seattle.

History of St. George Parish
St. George Parish was organized in 1903 by Georgetown-area Catholics under Rev. Joseph F. McGrath with the approval of Bishop O'Dea of Seattle. The first frame church was built in 1904 on a bluff overlooking the Duwamish River Valley, in what was then the separate town of Georgetown. The parish was served by the Franciscan Province of Santa Barbara from 1917 to 1987, and the current Spanish Revival-style church was completed in 1954. The parish has remained a center of worship, education, and community service in South Seattle for more than a century.

St. George Parish School
St. George Parish School was founded in the early 1920s to serve the families of immigrant railroad workers at the Georgetown rail yard and later at Boeing. Today it serves Pre-K through 8th grade and shares the parish campus with the St. Paul Early Learning Center for children ages 3–5. The student body has historically been diverse — early on including Austrians, French, Irish, Belgians, Italians, Bavarians, Poles, and Hispanics, and today predominantly Caucasian, Filipino, Asian, and Pacific Islander.

The Archdiocese notes that St. George shares a pastor and personnel with St. Edward Church and St. Paul Church in South Seattle.
