History
Founded in 1892, St. Francis Xavier Church was transformed in 1901 by Jesuit Brother Joseph Carignano, S.J., who painted 66 frescoes and 14 oil paintings across its walls and ceilings, depicting Christ’s suffering and resurrection. The church’s interior art is now in need of restoration, prompting the launch of the Carignano’s Canvas Capital Campaign.
