About Us
Welcome to the parish and school community of St. Francis of Assisi! Our patron, St. Francis has become one of the best known and well loved saints by Christians and non-Christians alike. There is something about this saint that really appeals to us. Perhaps we are drawn to his love for creation and animals. Yet as we honor the 800th anniversary of his death during this Jubilee Year of St. Francis, we learn the most defining trait of St. Francis was his radical love for Christ. We desire to imitate our holy patron by loving God and our neighbor, especially the poor and unloved. May our parish, through the intercession of St. Francis, strive always to become more Christ-like as we deepen our devotion to Our Lord in the Holy Eucharist, embrace His saving Cross, and grow in love for Him and each other.
Our Pastor
Father Jeff Statz, who grew up in Merrimack, NH, was ordained in 2005 and has served in various parishes before becoming pastor of St. Francis of Assisi in July 2014. He reflects on his journey and expresses gratitude for the people who have supported him and his ministry.
