St. Francis of Assisi Parish has been a Catholic presence in East Palo Alto since 1951. Its parishioners seek to continue the presence of Jesus Christ in the community as a welcoming people called by God to live out the message of Christ in love and service to all. The parish mission is to proclaim the Gospel of Christ to the local community in word, deed, and truth. Worship and parish life are offered in English, Spanish, and Latin.

History
St. Francis of Assisi Parish was established in 1951. Father Lawrence C. Goode served as pastor from 2003 to his retirement, leading the parish through a period of significant community challenges with visible faith-based outreach.
Worship
Mass is celebrated daily in English and Spanish, with a Latin Mass on Friday evening. Confessions are heard before the Saturday evening Spanish Mass and on Friday evenings.
