Pastor and Parish Leadership
St. Francis of Assisi is served by Rev. Kevin Sepe as Pastor. Fr. Sepe is a Lowell native who attended St. Michael Church and was ordained in 1986. His priestly ministry has included parishes in Quincy, Middleboro, and Randolph before he became Pastor of St. Francis of Assisi in Braintree for thirteen years (1998–2011), during which he oversaw enhancements to the church, school, and rectory and grew school enrollment. In 2012 he was appointed Episcopal Vicar and Secretary for Parish Life and Leadership for the Archdiocese, and in 2015 he became pastor of the St. John–St. Paul Collaborative in Wellesley, most recently serving Sacred Heart in Bradford. He was appointed to St. Francis of Assisi, Dracut on June 1, 2021.

Anointing of the Sick
The Anointing of the Sick is celebrated monthly on the first weekend of the month, after every Mass (Saturday 4 PM and Sunday 8 AM and 10:30 AM). The parish explains that this is one of the Church's Sacraments of Healing — not a 'last rites' moment — praying that the sick person be freed from illness or, if that is not God's will, receive the strength of faith to endure suffering in union with Christ's cross and resurrection.
