St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church is a young, growing Roman Catholic parish in the Diocese of Orlando that 'ministers to Lake Nona and the Surrounding Area' from its temporary worship site in the Cafetorium of Narcoossee Middle School in Saint Cloud, Florida. Established by the diocese on August 1, 2019 and celebrating its first Mass on November 2, 2019, the parish was founded under the leadership of its founding pastor, Rev. Charles Viviano, to serve the rapidly expanding Lake Nona community. The parish offers weekend Masses in English (with liturgies also celebrated in Portuguese and Tagalog), a livestreamed Mass on Facebook, and an expanding array of ministries, faith formation programs, and a women's fellowship group. The Diocese of Orlando already holds undeveloped property at the corner of Narcoossee and Boggy Creek Roads where the parish's first multi-purpose building — and eventually a permanent church and school — are planned.

St. Frances Xavier Cabrini is a young, intentionally ground-up Catholic community where new families can plug in quickly: weekend Masses are celebrated in English, Portuguese, and Tagalog, with one Mass livestreamed on Facebook so the homebound and far-flung can stay connected. The parish runs a 'Mini' Faith Formation program with Sacramental Preparation, RCIC/RCIA, and Family Faith Formation tracks for children and adults, alongside active ministries for lectors, extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion, ushers, greeters, altar servers, music, sacristans, A/V/livestream, art & environment, collections, communications, and a women's sisterhood called 'Blessed is She' that meets weekly at the Holiday Inn Express in Lake Nona. With a founding pastor and small core of clergy who have been here since day one, parishioners know their priests and deacon personally and can help shape the parish's future buildings, school, and identity.

Our Story — A Parish Built From the Ground Up
Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church was established by the Diocese of Orlando on August 1, 2019 to minister to the fast-growing Lake Nona area. Founding pastor Rev. Charles Viviano gathered volunteer leadership and celebrated the parish's first Mass on November 2, 2019 in the Cafetorium of Narcoossee Middle School — the parish's spiritual home while permanent facilities are planned. By 2021 nearly 700 families had registered; by early 2023 that count had grown by another 300+ families as the Lake Nona 'growth explosion' continued. Father Charles has framed the work as a long-term building project: 'There is no set timeline in forming a Faith Community from the ground up. The foundation are the people, and this journey takes several years.'

Worship Site, Property & Future Building Plans
Because the parish is new, it currently has no church of its own. Weekend Masses are celebrated in the Cafetorium (cafeteria-auditorium) of Narcoossee Middle School at 2700 N. Narcoossee Road, Saint Cloud, FL 34771. The Diocese of Orlando has owned undeveloped land at the corner of Narcoossee and Boggy Creek Roads (across from a Wawa) for more than 30 years. A phased build-out is planned: first a 'Multi-Purpose' building for offices, faith formation rooms and a hall; then a consecrated church building ('sacred space' reserved for liturgy); and, much further down the road, a primary/middle school. As of 2023 the Building Committee was on hiatus pending resolution of major road-expansion projects (Narcoossee Road, Boggy Creek Road, and the eastern leg of the Osceola Parkway) that could affect the property.

Clergy
The parish has been served from the beginning by a small, stable team of clergy that parishioners come to know personally. Founding Pastor Rev. Charles Viviano leads the community, supported by Deacon John 'Johnny' Rivas and his wife Leidy. Retired priests Rev. Richard Roy and Rev. John Culloty assist with winter coverage. The Diocese of Orlando is led by Most Reverend John Noonan, Bishop of Orlando.

Faith Formation — Sacramental Prep, RCIA, and Family Faith
The parish's 'Mini' Faith Formation program is structured to serve children, families, and adults at every stage. Sacramental Preparation is offered for 1st–6th graders preparing for First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion, and for 7th–9th graders preparing for Confirmation. RCIC welcomes 3rd–10th graders who have not been baptized; RCIA welcomes 11th–12th graders and adults who are unbaptized, baptized in another Christian tradition, or baptized Catholics in need of First Communion and/or Confirmation. Family Faith Formation is for Kindergartners and 3rd–6th graders not yet preparing for a sacrament.

Devotions & Prayer Life
Alongside the Eucharist, the parish cultivates a devotional life centered on the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Real Presence. A 'First Sunday Rosary' is prayed together once a month, and the parish livestreams Mass on Facebook so prayer extends beyond the Cafetorium walls.

Blessed is She — Women's Sisterhood
Blessed is She is a sisterhood of women seeking to grow in relationship with Jesus Christ through their Catholic faith. The Lake Nona chapter meets twice weekly — Monday evenings 6:30 PM–8:00 PM or Thursday mornings 10:00 AM–11:30 AM — at the Holiday Inn Express in Lake Nona. It welcomes women at every stage of their walk with Christ and is one of the most active fellowship ministries of the parish.
