St. Constance Parish is a Catholic community located at 21333 Kinyon Street in Taylor, Michigan, part of the Archdiocese of Detroit. The parish was established in June 1966 as a congregation of 300 families and has since grown to more than 1,100 families. St. Constance now operates as part of the 'South Downriver 1' Family of Parishes alongside St. Frances Cabrini (Allen Park), St. Mary Magdalen (Melvindale), St. Alfred (Taylor), St. Andre Bessette (Ecorse), and Our Lady of Angels. Weekly Sunday Mass is celebrated at 11:00 AM, and the parish is well known locally for its active ministries, faith formation programs, and the rallying cry 'May we go always with love in our hearts, and put our faith into ACTION!'

Parish History & Identity
St. Constance was founded in June 1966 as a community of 300 families, with Rev. Emil Dussia as its first pastor. Weekend Masses were originally held at West Junior Middle School (Robert West Junior High) on William Street, while weekday Masses were celebrated in parishioners' homes with special permission from the Archdiocese of Detroit. The current church was completed in April 1967 and dedicated by Cardinal John Dearden.

Faith Formation & Sacraments
The Discipleship Formation Office nurtures children, youth, and adults toward discipleship in Christ. Afterschool Discipleship Formation begins in 1st grade and continues through 8th grade, with sacramental milestones along the way.

Sacraments Preparation Schedule
Confirmation preparation meets twice monthly — first Monday 6:30–8:30 PM and third Sunday 1:30–3:30 PM (with required 12:30 PM Mass beforehand). OCIT meets third Tuesday 5:30–7:30 PM and first Saturday 1:30–3:30 PM (followed by 4:00 PM Mass).

Adult Faith Formation
The parish hosts Courtyard Catechesis, an outdoor summer adult formation and fellowship series held on designated Tuesdays at St. Frances Cabrini's Courtyard of the Holy Family Hall, covering rich aspects of Catholic faith. OCIA for adults begins February 18, 2026 for new registrants.

50th Anniversary & Parish Culture
St. Constance marked its 50th anniversary in June 2016 with a Mass concelebrated by Archbishop Allen H. Vigneron and Fr. Leo Sabourin, attended by Taylor Mayor Rick Sollars. The parish's culture centers on its signature closing: 'May we go always with love in our hearts, and put our faith into ACTION!' — a slogan embraced by the youth group and parishioners alike.
