From apricot orchards and a two-lane Mission Boulevard to a thriving multilingual parish, St. Clement has grown with South Hayward for more than 70 years.
- Founded October 1, 1951, by Archbishop John J. Mitty
- First pastor: Rev. Robert J. Hennessey
- Current church dedicated Easter Sunday 1953; consecrated September 27, 1953
- St. Clement School founded in 1958
- Served by Diocese of Oakland and, from 1980–2001, by the Congregation of Holy Cross
