History of St. Clare Parish
St. Clare Parish was created on July 1, 2009, when three Brown County congregations — St. Mary's in Greenleaf, St. Patrick's in Askeaton, and St. Paul's in Wrightstown — merged into one parish corporation. Each founding parish already carried more than 100 years of Catholic tradition. The new parish also inherited the heritage (and cemeteries) of two earlier suppressed congregations: St. Peter in Snyderville, expanded in the late 1860s, and St. John the Evangelist in Morrison, suppressed in 1966. Today the three original church buildings are still used as worship sites, and the parish is incorporated as 'Saint Clare Parish Corporation' under Wisconsin statute 187.

Diocese and Governance
St. Clare Parish is a parish corporation within the Roman Catholic Diocese of Green Bay. As a non-stock, religious corporation under Wisconsin statute 187, it is governed by a Board of Trustees consisting of the diocesan Bishop (ex officio president), the Pastor (ex officio vice president), and two lay trustees elected from the parish (one of whom serves as Treasurer and the other as Secretary). Day-to-day leadership is shared with a Pastoral Council, a Finance Council, a School Advisory Board, and the parish and school staff.

Catholic Education
The parish offers parish-school education through St. Clare Catholic School in Wrightstown (3K through Grade 8) and a Disciple Formation (Religious Education) program for Grades 1–12. Younger children (age 3 through Grade 3) are served through a Catechesis of the Good Shepherd atrium. The parish supports families through an After-School Care and Hot Lunch Program and offers Catholic-school tuition incentives for parish employees.

Adult Confirmation and Initiation
Adults who were baptized but never confirmed, and unbaptized adults seeking entry into the Church, are welcomed into a six-week preparation program run in coordination with the Diocese of Green Bay. Already-baptized adults are confirmed at the Adult Confirmation Mass celebrated by the Bishop at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral in Green Bay; the unbaptized journey into the Church through the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA), with inquiries directed to the pastor.

Cemeteries
St. Clare Parish is the caretaker of five historic cemeteries tied to its predecessor parishes. Two of these — St. Patrick's (Snyderville) and St. John's (Morrison) — survive without their original church buildings (Snyderville's St. Peter's was expanded in the late 1860s; Morrison's St. John the Evangelist was suppressed in 1966). The five cemeteries together record the living Catholic history of the area now served by St. Clare. Burial coordination, records, and grounds stewardship are managed through the cemetery sexton.

Pastoral Leadership Councils
Lay leadership is exercised through four formal bodies: the Pastoral Council, the Finance Council, the School Advisory Board, and the Board of Trustees (the parish corporation). The parish publishes Pastoral Council minutes online and holds an annual corporate meeting for members of the parish.
