History of the Parish
According to the Diocese of Superior's founding-dates registry, St. Bridget of Wilson was established in 1886 — the same year the Diocese of Superior was itself erected. Like many of the diocese's earliest parishes, the early Catholic life of the area was supported by missionary priests who traveled long distances by railroad to celebrate Mass. The cluster's shared parish history notes that for 11 years a priest from Notre Dame Parish in Chippewa Falls came once a month by rail to serve the surrounding communities, and that a Capuchin friar celebrated early Masses in the local public school.

Faith Formation and Religious Education
Following the closure of the cluster's parish school in 1970, the JBJSaints parishes organized a parish religious education program to meet the catechetical needs of parish youth. Religious education is run cluster-wide rather than at each individual parish, so St. Bridget families participate in the shared program alongside parishioners from Glenwood City and Clear Lake.

Sacraments
Baptisms, marriages, and the Anointing of the Sick are arranged through the Cluster Office in Glenwood City. The Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) is offered weekly on Thursday afternoons at St. John the Baptist in Glenwood City and on Saturday afternoons at St. Bridget in Wilson before the Vigil Mass. First Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation preparation is handled through the cluster's faith-formation program.
