The Patron Saint — St. Bridget of Sweden
The mission is named for St. Bridget of Sweden (c. 1303–1373), the Swedish mystic, mother of eight children, and foundress of the Bridgettine Order (Order of the Most Holy Savior). Declared co-patroness of Europe by Pope John Paul II in 1999, she is venerated on her feast day, July 23. Her patronage is fitting for Lindsborg, a community long celebrated as 'Little Sweden.'
