History of St. Boniface Church
St. Boniface was established in 1912 to serve the Catholic families in and around the small village of Lime Ridge, just one year before the village itself was incorporated in 1913. The parish marked its golden jubilee in 1962 with a printed history, 'Golden jubilee: history, 1912-1962, St. Boniface Church, Lime Ridge, Wisconsin,' which remains the most complete published record of its first half-century. The Sauk County Historical Society notes that St. Boniface retains baptism, confirmation, marriage, and death records from 1912 onward, and also holds records of St. Michael's Church in Ironton and some records of neighboring Holy Family in La Valle.
