History
Founded in June 1987 under the leadership of Father Joseph L. Peacock, St. Benedict parish was established by the Archdiocese of Atlanta on 13.5 acres of hilltop property on Parsons Road. The parish began with 10 founding families who gathered for Sunday Mass at Epiphany Byzantine Catholic Church while the new church was being built. The current church building was dedicated in 1990, and the parish has since grown into a thriving community with multiple ministries and outreach programs.
