History of the Parish

St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church in Windsor began its life as a mission (mission church) of Holy Rosary Parish in Clinton, Missouri, under the Diocese of Kansas City–St. Joseph. Diocesan assignment records make this relationship explicit in the 1980s, when a single priest was assigned to serve Holy Rosary, St. Bartholomew's in Windsor, and St. Catherine's in Osceola concurrently (1984–1988). The church continues in that mission relationship today, serving the Catholic faithful of Windsor and the surrounding rural area of Henry County in west-central Missouri.
