About St. Augustine · West Allis, Wisconsin

St. Augustine is a historic Croatian Catholic faith community in West Allis, Wisconsin, founded in 1928 and rooted in a strong Franciscan charism. Its Romanesque Revival brick church at 6768 West Rogers Street was dedicated in 1938 and has long served as a spiritual home for Croatian immigrants and their descendants. In 2024, St. Augustine merged with St. Rita and Holy Assumption parishes to form Saint Barnabas Catholic Congregation, and the St. Augustine site continues to host the Saturday Vigil Mass.
