Parish History

Founded in 1921, St. Anthony of Padua has served Catholic families in the High Ridge area for more than a century. Archdiocesan sacramental records at the St. Louis County Library reflect parish registers beginning in 1921, placing the parish among the early twentieth-century Catholic foundations in the rural areas south of St. Louis. In 2022, the parish marked its 101st anniversary — a milestone reported by The Leader newspaper as a celebration of more than a century of worship and community life in High Ridge.

Parish School of Religion (PSR)

St. Anthony Parish School of Religion provides religious instruction for children in pre-K through 8th grade who do not attend a Catholic school. The program assists parents in passing on the Catholic faith, presenting the truths of the faith in ways faithful to Church tradition while being 'stimulating, challenging, and even fun.' Classes meet Sundays from 10:30 am to 11:45 am, September through May.
