St. Anthony of Padua is a Roman Catholic parish in Everett, Massachusetts, founded in 1928 by the Scalabrinian missionaries (Pious Society of St. Charles Borromeo, P.S.S.C.) to serve the city's large Italian immigrant community. Today the parish is one of the most multilingual communities in the Archdiocese of Boston, celebrating Mass in English, Italian, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese. From its location on Oakes Street it also runs St. Anthony School (PreK–8), a Religious Education program, weekly Eucharistic Adoration, and the Scalabrini Center, continuing its founding mission of accompanying immigrant Catholics in the greater Boston area.

Parish History & Italian-American Origins
St. Anthony's grew out of the Italian immigration wave that transformed Everett in the early 20th century. After Italian residents petitioned Archbishop William O'Connell for their own parish, the Scalabrinians (P.S.S.C.) rented the Broadway Theatre and then bought it in 1928. Fr. Lino Buggini celebrated the first Mass that April; through the Depression he kept the parish alive. Fr. Peona expanded it in the 1930s and 40s, and Fr. Corrado Martellozzo built the present Oakes Street church in 1951 — a brick-and-limestone Italian Romanesque church with hand-carved stone trim and a rose window, designed by John Guarino. The cornerstone was laid by Archbishop Richard J. Cushing on July 4, 1951, and the church was dedicated September 9, 1951.

Khiet Cao Dang, C.S. serves as Administrator and Rev. Rivaldario Silva Santos, C.S. as Vicar. Parish operations are managed by Business Manager Renata Mendes and Church Secretary Vanusa Silva; the Music Director and Organist is Stephen J. Lee. Rev. Adriano Tezone, C.S. was pastor from 2020 until his reassignment to Orlando, Florida on August 1, 2024.

Religious Education
The Religious Education program (CCD) meets weekly on the parish grounds and is staffed by a coordinator for each of the parish's principal languages so that catechesis is offered in the language families actually speak at home.

St. Anthony School (PreK–8)
St. Anthony School, located adjacent to the church at 54 Oakes Street, opened in September 1958 with two grades and added a grade each year until reaching eight grades in 1963; a Kindergarten and Preschool followed. It was originally staffed by the Franciscan Sisters of Alleghany, New York, but is now served by a lay faculty. Today the school serves PreK–8 with 39 faculty and staff, an Art and Journal Club for grades 5–8, more than 500 community service hours annually, and a student body that reflects Everett's ethnic and linguistic diversity (21% English Language Learners). The current principal is Kim Palladino.

Scalabrini Center
Continuing the founding Scalabrinians' charism of accompanying migrants, the Scalabrini Center is located right next door to the church at 63 Oakes Street. It serves as the local hub for the order's immigrant-services apostolate in the Boston area.
