History

The parish was established in 1936 after a small adobe chapel served the Catholic congregation. Father P.J. Murphy, the first resident priest, led the drive to build the current Spanish Colonial Revival-style church and rectory, which remains in use today. The church suffered a devastating fire and is currently undergoing reconstruction through the 'Raise Up St. Anthony’s' capital campaign.
