Parish History
Founded in 1935, St. Anne's pastoral home was, according to local memory, formerly a honky-tonk before being adapted into a church. Under Vincentian leadership beginning in the 20th century, the parish became a hub for Hispanic ministry as Mexican immigrants arrived through Texas and Oklahoma. Fr. Tom Stelik, C.M., and his confreres launched the Vincentian Lay Missioner Program there around 2003, and the program now spans 12 parishes across Arkansas. In 2016, then-pastor Fr. Toshio Sato, C.M., helped establish the Sts. Anne & Joachim Society of St. Vincent de Paul, the first SVdP conference in Central Arkansas.
