St. Anne is a small Roman Catholic mission parish in Grand Lake, Colorado, one of five Catholic churches served by the Grand Catholic grouping (which also includes Our Lady of the Snow in Granby, St. Bernard of Montjoux in Fraser, St. Peter in Kremmling, and St. Ignatius in Walden). Worship began in Grand Lake in the summer of 1907 when Mass was first offered in the living room of Avoca Lodge by visiting priests; the parish was canonically established in 1944. The present church at 360 Hancock Street sits in Grand County's mountain recreation country and is part of the Archdiocese of Denver. Today it is served by Pastor Fr. Michael Freihofer, Parochial Vicar Fr. Peter Wojda, and Deacon Jim Moat, with Mass on Saturday evenings, Monday mornings, and one summer-only Sunday Mass.

History of St. Anne
Catholic worship has been celebrated in Grand Lake since the summer of 1907. Denver philanthropists Martin J. and Mary O'Fallon, summer residents at Avoca Lodge, arranged weekday Masses in their living room with visiting priests (including Bishop Matz, Father Teehan, and Father McMenamin). In 1918 they converted a former Wescott home into the first St. Anne chapel; Father McMenamin blessed it and named it. The little church was enlarged by sliding the back section sixteen feet rearward to add more seating. The parish was formally established by the Archdiocese of Denver in 1944, with Father Thomas Barry as its first resident pastor. A much larger church was built at the current Hancock Street site and dedicated in June 1958 by Archbishop Urban J. Vehr. A century-old rectory was demolished in 2018, with a prayer garden planned in its place.

Architecture of the 1958 Church
The present St. Anne was designed in a mountain-rustic style: stone-faced exterior, seven laminated wood beams rising to 45 feet, blond oak pews, and three altars of Indiana limestone. The eleven-foot hand-carved Tyrolean wood crucifix above the main altar, wood-carved statues of St. Joseph and St. Anne on the side altars, and imported German Stations of the Cross give the sanctuary a distinctly European-Catholic character suited to its alpine setting. A cast-stone statue of St. Anne, carved by Tyrolean artisans, stands above the main entrance.
