History of St. Anne Parish
St. Anne traces its roots to the French-Canadian settlement of the Campbell area beginning in 1874, when the Desire Genereux and Joseph LaPorte families arrived. By 1883 the parish census already listed 35 French-Canadian families. The parish's recorded timeline begins with a first church built in 1880 in the Wheatland District on land donated by Desire Genereux, and the church moved into the town of Campbell in 1890. A new brick church followed in 1902 under Father Rausch, who is buried in a crypt beneath the building. A 1909 fire destroyed the interior, but the exterior walls survived and the church was rebuilt by 1910 on those walls, enlarged into a cruciform plan with sacristies, a larger east sanctuary, and a brick tower. A parish-hall basement was added in 1966, and the sanctuary was modernized and remodeled in 1980. St. Anne celebrated its 140th anniversary in 2023 and continues to invest in the building — most recently through an active campaign to restore its 110-year-old stained-glass windows.

Faith Formation and Religious Education
Religious education across the combined parishes is coordinated through the CCD (Confraternity of Christian Doctrine) program, with Adult Faith Formation offered on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. at St. Katharine Drexel for both newcomers to the faith and lifelong Catholics seeking deeper study.

Altar Society
The St. Anne Altar Society carries the long-standing tradition of parish women's leadership — performing the Spiritual and Corporal Works of Mercy, beautifying the altar, caring for linens and candles, and supporting community life through service and fellowship. Current officers include Brandi Boudreau (President), Debbie Skrdlant (Assistant President), Shirley L'Heureux (Secretary), and Katie Davis (Treasurer).

- Decorates the altar and provides flowers for Easter and Christmas
- Cares for altar linens, pays for altar candles, and performs annual church cleaning
- Leads diaper drive, food pantry, hat-and-glove collection for Catholic Charities, and eyeglass/hearing-aid collection
- Serves funeral dinners and parish breakfasts honoring graduates, first communicants, and the semi-annual Alumni Banquet fundraiser
Totus Tuus Summer Program
St. Anne and Holy Trinity jointly host Totus Tuus, the Diocese of Lincoln's summer Catholic catechetical program for youth. A team of two men and two women — college students and seminarians — runs a parish mission for one week to evangelize and teach the faith. St. Anne/Holy Trinity hosted the program June 21–28, 2025, with Kelly Kohmetscher serving as coordinator.

Stained-Glass Window Restoration
St. Anne is undertaking a campaign to restore and repair its 110-year-old stained-glass windows. Donations of at least $10,000 per window — or $15,000+ for the large Immaculate Conception or Risen Christ windows — are recognized with a plaque placed beneath the window of the donor's choosing, in honor or memory of a designated person or intention. Bequests are honored on a first-come basis; inquiries can be directed to the parish office.
