Saint Ann Catholic Church is a Roman Catholic parish in Loyalsock Township, just outside Williamsport, Pennsylvania, in the Diocese of Scranton. The parish was established as a mission in 1950 and its present church was dedicated by Bishop Hafey on Passion Sunday, March 30, 1952. Today Saint Ann is linked administratively with neighboring Saint Boniface Parish in Williamsport, sharing clergy and office staff. The parish community gathers for Mass, daily Eucharistic Adoration in the Mary, Mother of Mercy Adoration Chapel, and a wide range of Word, Worship, Service, and Community ministries.

Saint Ann Catholic Church serves Loyalsock Township and the greater Williamsport area as part of the Diocese of Scranton. The parish's mission is to be 'a welcoming community that encourages and empowers our family of believers to use their unique talents to become active disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ,' with a vision of 'casting a wide net to gather as many people as possible for the Kingdom of God.' Daily administrative operations for the Parishes of Saint Ann and Saint Boniface are now coordinated through the Saint Boniface Parish Office and Rectory, allowing clergy and staff to better serve both communities from a single location.

Parish History
Saint Ann grew out of the Church of the Annunciation in Williamsport. Ground was broken on the Feast of Saint Ann, July 26, 1950, by the Very Reverend Frank P. McHugh; the cornerstone was placed October 7, 1951; and Bishop Hafey dedicated the finished church on Passion Sunday, March 30, 1952. In April 1955 a home at 1220 Northway Road was purchased from the estate of Mrs. Mary Emory to serve as the rectory. The parish has continued to grow its facilities and ministries in the decades since.

Clergy and Pastoral Leadership
The parish is currently served by Reverend Glenn E. McCreary, V.E., as Pastor and Reverend Dias Antony Valiamarathungal as Parochial Vicar. Both priests were appointed by Bishop Bambera effective October 1, 2025, and also serve neighboring Saint Boniface Parish.

Pastoral Councils and Governance
Two councils support the pastor in leading the parish. The Parish Pastoral Council, established in 2013, meets monthly with eight elected members plus four pastor-appointed members and four Pillar Chairpersons coordinating the Word, Worship, Community, and Service areas. The council has launched an annual Ministry Fair and a 'VoluntOberfest' volunteer appreciation event, and is finalizing the parish Pastoral Plan. The Parish Finance Council is a long-established body whose mission is to manage and monitor the financial gifts given to Saint Ann with integrity and accountability, supporting the parish's mission and ministry.

The parish observes a rich calendar of sacramentals throughout the year, including the annual Novena and Feast of Saint Ann in July, Lenten Stations of the Cross, Palm Sunday Procession, Divine Mercy Liturgy, Corpus Christi Procession, the Rosary before weekend Masses, and the Liturgy of the Hours (Vespers in Advent and Lent, Lauds during the Triduum, and Compline on Holy Thursday).

Faith Formation and Education
Saint Ann offers formation opportunities for every age through the Ongoing Christian Formation Committee (OCFC), which coordinates Adult Faith Formation, Scripture Studies, and the St. Faustina Library. The parish runs the L.A.U.G.H. Children's Ministry (Learning About Us, God, & Humanity), a High School Youth Ministry called 'Exciting New Experiences Regarding God & Youth' that meets on the Second Sunday, a Children's Liturgy of the Word, and a Vacation Bible School each year.

The Saint Ann campus centers on the church at 1305 Northway Road and includes a Parish Center, the Mary, Mother of Mercy Adoration Chapel & Convent, a pavilion, the Grotto, outdoor Stations of the Cross, and outdoor Stations of the Seven Sorrows of Mary. Recent improvements have included interior painting, new exterior doors, tree removal, and a planned accessible ramp at the front of the church. The Parish Hall at 1305 Northway Road hosts community events such as the Knights of Columbus Red Cross Blood Drive.
