Parish Identity and History
St. Ann Catholic Church is the historic Catholic parish of Cadillac, Michigan, founded in 1880 when Father Ziegler built the first church for the small Catholic community that had previously been served by traveling priests. The parish is named for St. Anne (St. Ann), mother of the Blessed Virgin Mary, whose feast is celebrated on July 26. Through the 1880s and 1890s a succession of pastors — Father Uytdewilligen, Father Barous, Father Zugelder, and Father Prud'homme — stabilized worship, acquired the rectory, and served mission outstations at Reed City, Evart, Luther, Lake City, McBain, Jennings, Marion, Frankfort, Fife Lake, and Temple. The present brick-and-stone church was dedicated in September 1903 and seats over 500. The parish is part of the Diocese of Gaylord, whose current bishop is Most Reverend Jeffrey J. Walsh.

St. Edward Mission Church in Harrietta
St. Edward Catholic Church at 207 W. Gaston, Harrietta, MI 49638, is a mission of St. Ann Parish. The parish website notes that 'In 2022, St. Edward celebrated its 100 year anniversary' and that the little church with the brown roof has been a mission of St. Ann for most of its history. Today a single Mass is offered there each month, typically on the fourth Thursday. Daily and weekend Masses for St. Edward parishioners are held at St. Ann in Cadillac.

St. Ann Catholic School
St. Ann Catholic School has been serving families on the parish campus since 1910. Mount Carmel Cemetery
Mount Carmel Cemetery is a Catholic cemetery in Cadillac, owned and operated by St. Ann Catholic Church of the Diocese of Gaylord. The grounds are blessed and dedicated as a sacred resting place, with strict Catholic rules and an endowed care fund set aside from every burial-rights purchase to maintain the property in perpetuity. Arrangements must be made through the parish office and a Michigan Department of Community Health Burial Transit Permit is required.
