About St. Ann's Parish

History

The parish dates its sacramental registers to 1860–1861, when it was established to serve the Catholic families of the Mooers Forks area — a heavily French-Canadian immigrant community. It was long referenced in diocesan and genealogical sources as 'Parish Ste. Anne de Centreville, Mooers Forks,' and the Northern New York American-Canadian Genealogical Society has published transcribed registers of baptisms, marriages, and burials covering the years 1860–1925. The parish remains an active worship site today, sharing ministry with Holy Angels in Altona.
