About St. Andrew · Roswell, Georgia

St. Andrew Catholic Church is a vibrant, bilingual parish in Roswell, Georgia, situated on fourteen acres along the northern bank of the Chattahoochee River. Founded as a mission in June 1981 and dedicated on April 30, 1987 by Archbishop Thomas A. Donnellan, the parish has grown from 400 founding families to serving more than 1,500 registered households today. The parish's patron, St. Andrew the fisherman, is reflected in its riverside setting and its mission to 'make disciples of all nations.' Under Fr. Juan Anzora, appointed pastor in 2022, St. Andrew offers daily and weekend Masses in both English and Spanish, along with Eucharistic Adoration, faith formation for youth and adults, a Catholic preschool, and outreach through the St. Vincent de Paul Society.

Why belong here

St. Andrew is a welcoming, bilingual Catholic community with deep roots in north metro Atlanta and a riverside setting that fits its fisherman-patron heritage. Families find a complete sacramental and formation life here — daily and weekend Masses in English and Spanish, a Catholic preschool for ages 1–5, year-long faith formation for youth grades 1–12 including Confirmation and Life Teen, and adult formation such as Prayer and Life Workshops. The parish also reaches outward through the St. Vincent de Paul Help Line (678-892-6163) for food and financial assistance, and offers Eucharistic Adoration Monday through Tuesday as a quiet center of parish prayer life.

Parish History & Patron

St. Andrew was mission-founded in June 1981 and grew quickly with the north-metro Atlanta boom. In 1983 the parish purchased a fourteen-acre site on the northern bank of the Chattahoochee River, and on April 30, 1987 Archbishop Thomas A. Donnellan celebrated the Mass of Dedication with 400 registered families present. The parish's patron, St. Andrew the fisherman from Christ's early ministry, is said to be a fitting patron for a church 'located on the river.'
