According to GCatholic's records, St. Alphonsus was established on June 13, 1925, making it nearly a century old. St. Alphonsus offers Mass in Spanish and bilingually, with a weekly vigil Mass, two Sunday Masses, and a Thursday evening Mass paired with Eucharistic Adoration. Confessions are heard before the Saturday vigil Mass.

Sacraments
Tri-Parish sacramental preparation is coordinated centrally. The parish offers Baptism, First Communion, Confirmation, Marriage, Anointing of the Sick, and OCIA (formerly RCIA) for adults. Baptismal classes for parents and godparents are held monthly in Room 1 of the Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine Religious Education Building.
