Parish History
St. Agnes has its roots in a 1907 meeting of 14 Catholic women of the Callon neighborhood in Weston who formed the Ladies Aid Society and began a decade of quilt-making fundraisers that built the original 1913 red brick church on land donated by Frank and Mary Wanta. The parish functioned as a mission of St. Florian in Hatley until receiving its first resident pastor in 1960, and the present church replaced the 1913 structure in 1979–1980. The 2010 centennial celebration included a quilt raffle benefitting Ronald McDonald House and Catholic Charities, continuing the parish's tradition of hands-on outreach.
