History
St. Agnes traces its origin to 1902–1903, when the granite-quarrying community of Amberg built its first Catholic church on land donated by William Amberg, the Chicago granite magnate. The original 1903 church was razed in 1949 and replaced by the present building. A historic 1874 Green Bay Fire Department bell, donated in 1925 to St. Joseph's Church in Green Bay, was relocated to St. Agnes in 1984 and now stands mounted on the church grounds, rung daily at noon and to announce services.

Outreach & Charity
St. Agnes partners with neighboring St. Augustine, Wausaukee in running the local St. Vincent de Paul conference, which provides charitable assistance to neighbors in need across the Wausaukee–Amberg area.

Visitors are warmly welcomed at Sunday Mass. The most photographed feature of the church grounds is the historic 1874 Green Bay Fire Department bell mounted in front of the building — a tangible link between the parish and the wider history of northeastern Wisconsin.
