About the Seton Chapel
The Seton Chapel is located on the 4th floor of the Seton Building at Boston Medical Center - Brighton. It is open seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day, and available for patients, staff, families, and visitors. The chapel is designed to offer a quiet place for prayer and retreat.
Mass and Services
Daily Mass is offered Monday through Friday at 12 p.m., Saturday at 4 p.m., and Sunday at 8 a.m. Holy Communion is available Sunday through Friday. Services are available for Roman Catholics and other Christian patients.
Sacraments
Sacraments including Eucharist, Reconciliation, Anointing of the Sick, Baptism, and Confirmation are available upon request. Baptism and Confirmation may be administered to critically ill patients. Reconciliation and Anointing of the Sick are offered through the Spiritual Care Department.
Chaplain Services
Chaplains provide pastoral care for patients, families, and staff, including support for distress, end-of-life concerns, and personal issues. Chaplains are available 24/7 and can be reached via pager 1009 after business hours.
Interfaith and Community
The Interfaith Meditation Chapel on the 7th floor and the Bikur Cholim room for Jewish visitors support diverse spiritual needs. The chapel is open to all faith traditions and offers spiritual music and relaxation via closed-circuit TV.
