History
San Andres was established as a diocesan mission in 1975 and raised to parish status on August 15, 1986. The present church building was dedicated in 1990. Over four decades it has grown from a small mission into a multicultural parish that today also ministers to the surrounding Hispanic and rural Catholic population, including the sister communities of San Isidro Mission in Elberta and St. Patrick Catholic Church in Eureka.

Faith Formation and Bible Study
San Andres runs catechism classes for children — students enrolled are required to attend Sunday or Saturday vigil Mass — and offers ongoing Bible study for adults in both English and Spanish. Sacraments
San Andres prepares parishioners for the sacraments of initiation and the other rites of the Church. Baptisms are scheduled through the parish office, and the parish provides a 'Schedule a Baptism' form on its website. Marriage preparation requires an in-person meeting with the priest, completion of pre-marital classes, and a second appointment with witnesses — a process that takes a minimum of six months.
