Ss. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church is a Byzantine-rite (Ukrainian Greek Catholic) mission parish serving the faithful of Plymouth, Pennsylvania, in the heart of the historic anthracite coal region. The community was founded in 1898 by Eastern European immigrants and today is part of the Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Philadelphia, sharing clergy with neighboring parishes in the North Anthracite Deanery. Our History
The parish was founded in 1898 by Eastern European immigrants in Plymouth's anthracite region. The first Ss. Peter and Paul Church stood at 20 Turner Street and was enlarged in 1916. The community later settled at its present location, 20 Nottingham Street. In February 2022, at the direction of Metropolitan Archbishop Borys Gudziak, Ss. Peter and Paul welcomed the parishioners and records of St. Vladimir Ukrainian Catholic Church in Edwardsville, continuing the mission in a smaller form.

Clergy & Administration
Ss. Peter and Paul is led by Rev. Walter Pasicznyk, Administrator, who likewise serves other North Anthracite Deanery parishes under the shared-pastor model. The parish was previously administered by Rev. Volodymyr Popyk beginning in 2012. The deanery itself is led by Protopresbyter (Dean) Rev. John Seniw.

Feast of Ss. Peter and Paul
The patron feast — Ss. Peter and Paul, Prime Apostles — is celebrated on June 29 each year. The Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church observes the Ss. Peter and Paul Fast in the weeks leading up to the feast (June 1–28 in 2025–26), with catechetical reflections on fasting and discipline posted to the parish website.

It has hosted regional Vespers of Forgiveness Sunday services, joined the Footsteps of Our Ancestors walking pilgrimage (Mocanaqua to Glen Lyon), and taken part in civic observances such as the Plymouth 250th Anniversary of the Nation parade.
