Parish History
Saints Edward and Isidore Parish has served the Flintville community in the Town of Suamico for approximately 140 years, according to the parish's own website. Founded in the mid-1880s by the Diocese of Green Bay to serve Belgian and other Catholic farming families in northern Brown County, it is one of the older rural parishes in the diocese. The parish is named for two saints whose patronage reflects the agricultural character of the area: St. Edward the Confessor (d. 1066) and St. Isidore the Farmer (d. 1130). It is incorporated as 'Sts Edward & Isidore Church' (EIN 39-1174575; IRS ruling date March 1946). Today it numbers more than 1,700 registered families and remains an active, vibrant community within the Diocese of Green Bay.

Tuesday Holy Hour & Benediction
Beginning Tuesday, July 9, 2025, Fr. Scott began offering a weekly Holy Hour with Confessions from 4:45 PM to 5:45 PM each Tuesday. The hour provides a weekday opportunity for the sacrament of Confession and a quiet time in prayer in the presence of the consecrated Eucharist. It concludes with Benediction at 5:45 PM and Mass at 6:00 PM, giving parishioners a full evening of adoration, reconciliation and worship.

Prayer Labyrinth
The parish is fortunate to have a prayer labyrinth, constructed by a parishioner as an Eagle Scout project. The labyrinth is located in the grass at the back-right (northwest) corner of the parish's large parking lot. Praying with a labyrinth is described as a form of walking meditation and a physical expression of the interior journey toward Christ. Suggested Scripture passages for preparation include Deuteronomy 1:31, Exodus 13:21-22, Isaiah 42:1-9, and Luke 24:13-35. People walk the labyrinth for peaceful prayer, thanksgiving, insight, healing, forgiveness, grief, and letting go of worries.

Harvest Fest Picnic
Saints Edward and Isidore hosts an annual Harvest Fest picnic that draws the parish and surrounding community together. The event features a 10:00 AM Mass with live polka music (typically by the New Generation Polka Band), an auction, raffle, kids' games, hamburgers, pie and ice cream, and a pork roast dinner (prices have been listed at $10 adults, $4 ages 7-12, $2 ages 4-6, free under 4). It is one of the largest annual gatherings of the parish.

Pastoral Transition Prayer
The parish currently finds itself in a season of pastoral change. The website carries a 'Pastoral Transition Prayer' asking God's blessing on 'Father Dave' as he moves from the parish to his next assignment, and asking the Holy Spirit to fill the community 'with vision, zeal, and faithfulness in prayer' during the transition. The prayer also asks for heavenly wisdom 'for those who are to choose a new priest for this parish, who will be a wise and gentle shepherd of your people.' Fr. Scott has since taken up regular duties at the parish, including the new weekly Tuesday Holy Hour.
