St. Philip Neri Catholic Church is a parish of the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City serving Midwest City, Oklahoma, and the surrounding eastern Oklahoma County area. Established in 1946 to serve the post-war Catholic population near Tinker Air Force Base, it has grown from a founding nucleus of fifty families into a full parish with a K-8 Catholic school, weekly adoration, and a broad network of ministries. The present church was dedicated by Archbishop Salatka on November 13, 1992, and the parish continues its long tradition of worship, faith formation, and outreach in the community.

The parish is anchored by St. Philip Neri Catholic School (K-8), an active Religious Education program, a parish school of faith formation for adults, and a thriving youth ministry with separate junior high and high school groups. Parish History
The parish was formally established in March 1946 by Bishop Eugene McGuinness and grew out of a Jarman Junior High School classroom where forty-two people attended the first Mass in September 1946. The original Felix Place church was built in 1947, joined by a Navy surplus chapel, and the parochial school opened in 1954 under the Felician Sisters. Archbishop Salatka dedicated the present church on November 13, 1992, and the parish has continued to expand its school and facilities ever since — most recently with a 2017 gymnasium addition.

St. Philip Neri Catholic School
St. Philip Neri Catholic School is an apostolate of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church that has served Midwest City and the surrounding communities since 1954. The school is accredited through the Oklahoma Conference of Catholic Schools Accrediting Association (OCCSAA) and provides a Christ-centered education that promotes charity, humility, and excellence. About 30% of students are non-Catholic; the remaining 70% come from St. Philip Neri, St. Andrew (Moore), St. Paul the Apostle (Del City), and St. Teresa (Harrah).

Religious Education & Faith Formation
Faith formation at St. Philip Neri spans children, youth, and adults. The parish runs a Religious Education program for school-age children, a junior high youth group and a high school youth group, and a Catholic Young Adults (CYA) community. Adult Faith Formation opportunities are offered throughout the year, including an Adult Summer Faith Formation series.

Music & Liturgical Ministries
The parish music program leads the congregation in sung worship at weekend Masses and supports funerals, weddings, and community ecumenical services across the archdiocese. Choir and cantors serve alongside organist Donald Tullius, and new cantors are invited to assist when the Music Director is away.

Parish Service & Outreach
Outreach at St. Philip Neri extends to the homebound, the hospitalized, and grieving parishioners. The parish coordinates a Wednesday hot-meal program for ~65 homebound individuals in partnership with four other area churches, makes visits to St. Anthony–Midwest Hospital, and trains lay ministers to bring Christian care to parishioners during difficult times.

Lay leadership is woven throughout parish life, with separate men's and women's organizations, a dedicated altar/church-decoration team, and parish-led health ministry. The Council of Catholic Women meets quarterly, supports parish fundraisers and bake sales, and elects its own officers.

Sacraments & Devotional Life
Beyond the regular Mass and Confession schedule, the parish sustains a rhythm of Eucharistic Adoration, communal Rosary, Morning Prayer, and the Liturgy of the Hours. Sacramental preparation (Baptism, Marriage, Anointing of the Sick) is coordinated through the parish office at 405-737-4476.
