St. Michael Korean Catholic Parish in San Francisco is the first Korean Catholic parish in North America, serving the Korean Catholic community and welcoming all who wish to worship. The parish celebrates its faith in Korean and English, blending Korean Catholic heritage with the life of the local Church. History

St. Michael Korean Catholic Parish traces its roots to 1966, when the Korean Catholic community was formally welcomed to San Francisco. It became the first official Korean Catholic parish in North America in 1988 and moved to its current home in 1994.

Pastoral Leadership

Father Nara Samuel Lee became the 14th pastor of St. Michael Korean Catholic Parish on January 25, 2026. He succeeded Father Youngsaeng Paul Goo, who served from 2020 to 2025.

Community Life

The parish gathers for bilingual worship and formation, celebrating the Korean Catholic tradition while serving parishioners in Korean and English.
