History of the Parish

What follows below is a brief summary of the founding of the parish in 1843 through the building of the church and the school in the 1920's and 30's. - Founded in 1843 on land purchased for a small wooden church.
- First resident pastor, Fr. Edmund Dumont, appointed in 1857.
- New church dedicated to St. Mary of the Annunciation in 1857.
- Two devastating fires in 1859 — rectory and church — led to brick reconstruction.
- Records from 1859–1898 are sparse; parish history continues through the 1970s as documented by Robert Godzak.
Worship Schedule
